What do I get for free?

What does the pass add?
The Terrain Brain Pass ($19 a year) unlocks unlimited reads — read as much ground as you want — and the clean Hunt File to print, save or share. The read itself is the same one a free account gets.
Does the pass renew?
Yes. It renews once a year, at the price you signed up at, and you can cancel any time on My ground, under Your pass ("Cancel my pass"), or from the link at the foot of every page. A cancelled pass runs to the end of the year you paid for.
What is the founders price?
$19 a year, for the people who sign up early. When we close it, a new pass costs more — but anyone who has the founders price keeps it for as long as they keep the pass. We do not say how many founders there will be, or when it closes.
I already have a Pro or Pro Max plan. What changes?
Nothing. Your plan keeps everything it had. We are not selling new Pro plans at launch — if you run ground for a living, get in touch.
What data sources power the terrain read?
Bare-earth elevation from USGS 3DEP's seamless 10 m model, the leaf-on aerial photograph from USDA NAIP for the water and the timber edges as of its flight year, hydrography from USGS NHDPlus HR, and parcel boundaries from Regrid's county assessor records. Every figure we publish carries the source it came from and the grain it was read at, and what changes over the years carries the year it was flown. How we measure lists every bar a finding has to clear.
